    calories and cardio

    Say, i eat my 500 calorie meal( 200 cal protein,200 cals carbs,100 cals fat), an hour i go on the treadmill and burn 700 cals.
    does that mean i just burned the 500 cals from my meal ? and what about the extra 200 cals? thank you

    Ah, don't think of it meal by meal. That's like saying "I babysat last night and earned 40 bucks, then went out and blew 70 bucks at the bar. Does this mean I spent the babysitting money?"

    You earn money and you spend money. It's all about the net balance. Same thing with calories.

    For one, how do you know you burned 700?

    For two, yea what Built said.

    For three. If you're doing that type of work I hope you're eating enough calories overall unless you don't mind burning through muscle mass
