    6'4 310 lbs starting Insanity

    Hey guys and gals,

I am new to the forum and wanting to squeeze all the information I can out of you educated people.

I am 6'4 310lbs with approximately 24% body fat. I have played football competitively for the last 7 years and am pretty proportioned for my size. Well my playing days are over and I would like to get down into the 260-270 range and reassess from there.

Long story short I am looking for a diet to accompany this Insanity cardio workout(my wife is making me do it with her) that would help me achieve these goals. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to diet, but have been reading a lot lately and starting to get a better grasp on things.

If you wouldn't mind listing a few things that would help me out that would be great. Thanks for the help and sorry for the long post. I know its my first.

Good luck with insanity. It's a bitch if you are in shape. I can't imagine trying it being overweight/out of shape. If it were me I would start a good diet first and start dropping some lbs before going crazy with that program. You'll understand why if you have seen what it intails.

Yea I know what it is. I won't look the prettiest going through it, but I know just mimicking the exercises and just the essence of speeding up and intervals will be better than any cardio I can get on the treadmill, elliptical, or stair master. Thanks for the input.
