    Question EFA's with oats?

Hey everyone...was wondering if I could put Udo's Choice in my oatmeal? Is it alright to add these fats to a carb like oats or should it be in a protien shake to be more benefical? Thanks...

You can add Flax or Udo's to your oats

Personally, I prefer it in my protein shaek or on my chicken for taste purposes though

Just make sure to stir it in after the oats have cooked, not before.

Heating flax seed oil ruins the product. I would be careful with adding this to your oatmeal. You could just have it straight up, it's not so bad after a few times.

So if heating flax/Udo's Choice ruins the product then I shouldn't add it to oatmeal after it's cooked? What if I waited a few minutes till it cooled down, but yet still warm? I just don't like the taste (more texture) of anything oil...not even salad dressing....

i really think you're ok adding it to warmish oatmeal. you never want to cook with it or actually directly heat it of course. just my opinion.
