    Question what have I done!

ok, so say one has a fairly clean diet and then oooops a sugar attack happens and she downs a bag of jelly beans (about a cup and a half...)now her sugar levels are crazy high...soooooo my question is how long does it take the average person's levels to come back down so they are able to burn fat again.....yeah the "she/her" is me....just cheated on a non cheat day...

Never mind the fat burning....you now have to fight about 3 days of sugar cravings.

Do the effects of a sugar binge take that long to wear off? I know that whenever I eat too much sugar I feel it for a few hours, but generally a good night's sleep and the next day I'm back to normal.

No technically it's just a couple of hours....but once you've tasted sugar (or a forbidden food) it's harder to say no, and get it out of your mind. It also depends how long you've been "dieting" or w/o said food....some people can attest to this from experience If you happen to be smart enough to binge at night before bed, you might be okay, if you binge in the middle of the day, you're screwed

thanks W8...but wouldn't it be worse to binge on sugar or anything for that matter before bedtime...I figure that those empty calories would go straight to my ?

So you figure it takes about 2 hours though to get sugar levels down.....would it be quicker if you were active? Thanks again..
