    maltodextrin

basically im currently tying to gain 10lbs and to bring me up from 5ft 6 ,160lbs and stay under 10% bf (im 150ish now)

my problem seems to be that my current day job is very labour intensive and i work long hours so even though im continuously eating as much as i physically can (often eat when im not hungry and often eat soo much i feel bloated) i feel that as i struggle to consume the calories i need to gain weight, every day i make sure i consume at least 3000/ 3500 calories

i can imagine and appreciate i sound just like another under-eater and i admit i used to be when i was younger but as far as im aware im just burning a crazy amount of calories with my day job/weight training and mma so apart from eat even more would maltodextrin be a benefit to me as my diet/training is in good check but i just feel i need them extra calories to speed things up.

    and advice/criticism/help appreciated.

I'm not sure if that would be the best option. So more food is not possible?

well more food is technicaly possable but it would be very hard as im eating near on the max i can physicaly stuff down my throat, perhaps more foods that are high in calories but less filling is a better option.

reason im asking is alot of bulking shakes contain mattodextrin to bump up the calories and i saw this product advertised the local company who i buy my unflavoured whey from in bulk, for £15 gbp for 5kg i was thinking of giving it a go but not keen on any adverse health risks or upset stomach

Most bulking shakes are garbage. Real food it the way to go. If I'm bulking I try to eat as much as possible and drink a lot of chocolate milk. I really don't think malodextrin is the greatest.

fuck malto, make your own bulker shakes with some of the following:

    whole milk
    olive oil
    whole eggs
    oatmeal
    frozen berries
    whey powder

blend all this up with a little ice, store in a thermos and take to work - drink throughout the day. Just keep upping the olive oil if you need moar cals

Good option. I've taken Malto for an quick after-workout carb source, but I agree with the Capt-other options are much better.
