    My cholesterol level is 242

Hi everybody, I am 20 years old and too heavy. My cholesterol level is 242 (LDL cholesterol 168). Besides this I don’t have any other health problems. The doctor gave me prescription but I didn’t take them. Now my cholesterol must have increased even worse. What should I do? Should I begin taking pills again without asking my doctor? What is your opinion?
