barnard, just eat and drink as you normally would for this one. When is the next comp?

Barnard, please show your parents this thread so they know nobody's letting you do anything extreme - I would want that if I had a kid and some strangers on the internet were telling him what to eat.

Next up, how about you start doing something I wish more athletes would do: go into FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal and just enter everything you eat. I don't personally care WHAT you eat (that's up to you and your parents) because the only part I'll want to see later on is the numbers, but start tracking it. Just estimate your portion sizes as best you can, and record everything.

Only do complete days, because it skips over no-entries and ignores them, but if you say you ate three eggs, it thinks that's all you ate all day and averages it in.

Once you have three full days' worth of eating recorded, run a "report" (you'll see where it is) and post up here the average calories, grams protein, grams carb and grams fat.

Another thing that would help would be some measurements.

What is your calf, thigh, hip, waist at navel, chest and bicep - I just want to get an idea of where you carry your weight without needing pix (and I do not want a fourteen year old posting up pix on the internet, okay?)
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

    Excellent.

As an aside, I was just at the Arnold in Ohio, and it was damned impressive to see the powerlifting and weightlifting events.

I second or third or fourth or whatever the above concerns. Too little time, and your lifts would suck after dropping that much weight that fast anyways.

    Thumbs up Jacks update

    Hello Built New update
Can someone tell me the best way too loose weight before a competition,
I am a 14 year old Powerlifter in my first year - actually only been training regular since Christmas.
At present my general stat is 5'11" and 292lbs I Deadlift 341lbs Squat 352lbs and Bench 187lbs.
My issue is that I would ideally like to get down to 275lbs for a Comp on the 27th of March - yes I no not ideal but can I do this without loosing any strength and how.
I eat 6 meals a day and take vitamins and fish oils tablets and a protien shake after workout.
A basic school day looks like this:
7am vitamins fish oils porridge or spanish omlette
    10am fruit
    1300 chicken breast couscous/pasta/rice salad
1630 fruit+tuna sandwich or spag bol depends on training day
1930 spag bol or protien shake again depends on training
2200 steamed chicken breast or tuna sandwich
+ average 2ltrs water + more during training
Reference my last Competition March 27th weighed in @ 130kgs youngest competiter and heaviest there as a sub junior was put in with the juniors a year + older etc
completed all my lifts but red light on two deadlifts in the last movement.
Ended up with 160ks deadlift 170kgs Squat and 80kgs Bench for this I received 1st in Bench and 4th in deadlift.
Since then I have still been unable to shift any weight but now Squat 185kgs Deadlift 175kgs and Bench 100kgs so pleased things are going in the right direction just in the process of pyramiding up for the British Championships on the 3rd of July If I qualify then will be looking at getting sponsered and going to the Worlds.
Money in very short supply parents doing there best etc but could do with funds for some 1 to1 contact with a Nutritionist/trainer that understands Powerlifting and my body shape, if not will do my best and keep putting up PB's Leg pressed 792lbs x 5 last week and will keep going !
    Thanks for listening speek soon.
