How high of a quality are we talking here? I don't think gizzards are a great source of high grade aminos.

They're good in soup. My mom used to make soup with gizzards and hearts in it. I prefer heart, but if you cook gizzard long enough it's nice and soft.

100g raw gizzard has 18g protein. Not bad!

"Proximate composition and amino acid profile of gizzard is nearly the same as that of chicken meat (Arafa, 1977)"

I'll stick to my eggs thank you very much. Can get them for just over a dollar a dozen at Costco - 18 of them (about 1.50) is 98g protein and loads of delicious fat.

I never understood why people think they are disgusting. They are actually delicious if you cook them right. Slow cook them in the oven for about 45 minutes in a tray with onions, potatoes, chicken, and throw some lemonade pepper marinade on it. I wanted more after I finished a huge plate. I have come to the conclusion people get disgusted of it because they are pussy.
