My best guess would be that Arnold was only joking.![]()
Did you hear Arnold talk about milk in the movie "Pumping Iron"??
It was during the scene where they were passing this oil painting of him across the room, you can hear a reporter in the background ask him if he drinks skim milk, his reply was something like "milk?? milk is for babies...grown-ups drink beer..." Unless he was joking, I guess milk wasn't part of his meal plan....??
It seems as though BB'ers during that era only ate a lot of eggs, steaks, chicken, veggies, protein shakes, multi-vitamins, liver tablets and drank a lot of water.
Another "old school" nutritional thought...I remember Jack Lalane (sp?) say "I don't eat any food made by man".
I know, this post is pointless and just ramblings. It's just facinating to discover the nutrition of past BB'ers, they pretty much kept it very simple.

No, i don't think he did drink milk in the latter part of his BBing career.
Being held down by The Man
Quoted from Arnold Schwarzenegger, The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding. Pages 740, 744-745
"Recommended Protein Sources
There are many possible sources of low-calorie protein, but following are what most bodybuilders tend to rely on:
Fish, Fowl, Eggs, NONFAT MILK, Milk and egg or whey protein powder."
" The following protein sources tend to be higher in fat, but are a good nutritious sources of amino acids:
Beef, Pork, Lamb, Cheese, WHOLE MILK"
"I began mixing my own protein drinks right from the start, but when I was fifteen years old I didn't have access to the protein powder you can buy today. Instead, I put together a drink combining ingredients like SKIM MILK powder, eggs and honey"
From that it seems he was kidding around with what he said in "Pumping Iron" about milk. If you look at his nutritional plans in the book all the meals contain drinking 8oz. of milk....The question now is does he practice what he preaches??

"Roughly one minute after the space shuttle launches, it must withstand a condition of extreme force known as Max Q. Mission success demands that all systems perform at the highest level.
In life, Max Q demands the same commitment to success. It requires choosing greatness, personally as well as professionally. It depends on balance, passion and courage and the wisdom gained from adversity. It is an outcome as well as an attitude."
Like i said, i don't think he drank milk during the latter stages of his career.
Just a quick question though, why does it really matter?

I don't tell people off.
I just cunning insult them.
Being held down by The Man
From what i can gather, Rob is the sinister type person. He won't just say "fuck you" instead he'll be seemingly nice and be insulting you at the same time
Also re: the milk. I've read stories of how Arnold would just get hammered and eat a whole turkey by himself as a sort of post workout meal. Dunno how much truth there is to that though.
