Lack of food causing a problem.

Hello everyone, I have finally joined so I can ask for some advice. Now I have to admit that cooking is something which I am totally useless at and to be honest I get very stressed at when something goes wrong. I am the the person who can't make egg on toast without something going wrong, which usually ends up with everything in the bin and McDonalds on order. Wanting to build muscle and cooking issues like this don't really sit well together. I am hoping you guys can offer some helpful advice.

Chicken, Turkey, and Fish seems to be the top choice for body building food. Unfortunately Fish makes me puke so thats off the menu. Also, I work long hours away from home so hot meals are rather limited to weekends. Would it be enough to just eat chicken breasts and fruit, everyday?

    Cheers in advance.

Im new here as well so you could take my advice with a grain of salt but from what I've learned, chicken breast and fruit should be fine as long as it fits your macros. Don't get me wrong they shouldn't be the ONLY thing you eat but I think its fine if you base your diet around them. Now since you said you wanted to gain muscle I am under the assumption that you want to bulk up so I the advice I would give is find out your macros, throw in some complex carbs (oatmeal is simple to make), and get in some good fats (egg yolks or nutts). Jut my two cents

if you want to bulk you need calories. milk, boiled eggs, peanut butter, and olive oil are all very easy to get. just look for things like this that are high in cals and stock them up.
