    Whey + Dextrose PWO

    Hi guys,

    To start, I'm not an athlete or a bodybuilder. My goal is to stay in shape, put on some lean muscle mass (I suppose that implies cutting fat).

    Trying to figure out a post-workout shake.
    I read that if you take Whey w/ 1% milk, you don't need Dextrose. That threw me off.

    What carbs should I add to whey? how many if I am 175lb?

    I dont have any milk pwo because of the fat content. I suppose you could use skim, but since I like to have my shake before I even leave the gym I just use dextrose. 50g whey and 50-100g dextrose. 500cals slammed! For your size and your goals I would suggest just 1 scoop of dextrose, or possibly even some waxy maize.

    Yes, as the above poster said 50 - 100 g of carbs from dextrose.

    Also, if you are going to get a WMS product, I have heard that it has to be processed well. Vitargo is a great one that I use.

    Choose Whey

    Hi, great question, I honestly find mysel having to between the two, and I finally came to a conclusion that whey is the best. I usualy take it after gym.

    It's not as fast digesting, but sometimes I'll even put 1 cup of powdered oats in my shake.

    60g whey 100g carbs from malto/dextrose does me pwo till i get my solid meal into me 50 min later
