    Cutting Help!

So iv tried cutting in the past, usually a bit half heartedly, im 190lbs and about 15% BF at 6". Im 20 and havent really been bothered with my bf because i think its distributed well (i can see my abs well) but iv been bulking for the last 2months, and want to cut up in the next 2+ months. I track my calories in fit day - as of yesterday iv dropped my cals to 2300 (Pr=305g, Carb=80 and Fats=50-60) & Im doing a carb 'refeed every 7 days eating over maintence on this day.
Iv just started this and am basically asking if this is set up right, do i need do drop my cals lower? Im doing push/pull 4 days a week and cardio on these days. Thanks!

Seems to be pretty spot on to me. I personally dont know if I could go a whole week that low carb. I might even do a refeed every 4 days or so. Looks good though, you should be able to loose a good amount of weight.

thanks bro, yeah I was a little unsure as to when to do a refeed, not sure if leptin levels will have dipped enough in four days for a refeed but if anyone can give me some input as to the best time to refeed on this kind of carb depletion diet i would appreciate it!

Cals just below maintenance and a 40/40/20 macro breakdown has always given me the best results. I'm not too keen on low carb days and refeeds. I train hard as hell, and I need my carbs to power through my workouts.

Are you natural? If so, I'd raise fats. I have guidelines for this in the homework 1 link in my sig; targets for protein and fat are at least a gram per pound lean mass for protein, and at least half a gram per pound lean mass for fats. I personally like my protein in excess of 1.5g/lb lean mass while cutting; it helps with satiety and of course helps spare muscle. The fats will help support your endocrine function.

As an aside, if you like the idea of cycling most of the week with low carbs, but going high for a day or two, consider UD2.0
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

Think you're ready for the "next step"? Take this test.
