    Fish oil for my dog?

She seems to really enjoy eating a capsule mixed in with her food. Do they receive the same health benefits as people?

Not too sure if they receive the same benefits of those fish oils, but I just found this a bit odd, because I heard someone saying that exact same thing this weekend. He was saying that when he takes his pills, his dog yelps when he takes his fish oil, as if saying he wants 1. And then he eats it, being that dogs are very smart, maybe they do know something?

I give my AKC lab fish oil once a day and it is extremly healthy for animals. It was recommended by my vet to do so, and has made his coat silky, helps prevent bone and helps prevent against heart disease. My lab has been on it for about 5mths and been to the vet since then and doc noticed the above mentioned and how labs came back saying he was extremely healthy.

Yeah, the dry skin is one reason why i started. I gave her a bath with some human shampoo and shes been itchy and dry since then.

it was interesting, did you even realize you were putting your dog in a class distinction among its own breed by prefacing it with AKC, just curious if it was intentional, you could have just said "my lab"

The vet put all three of my dogs on fish oil. It really seems to help my Great Dane that was starting to show joint problems from age. Our heeler has cancer and we squirt the fish oil on his food. He takes his food better with it. And our flat coated retriever's coat never looked better since we put her on the oil.
