    To bulk...or...to cut?

first of all my goal... to meet my natural potential. i am currently 183 pounds but in the time it has taken me to achieve this weight i have put on some fat. i am unsure of my bf% probably more than i think...12%. in a few weeks im going away on holiday for 2weeks in which diet and vast amounts of alcohol will be consumed as im only 20 and its a lads hol. so when i come back my weight may have dropped. but in need of meeting my goal should i continue to bulk or cut down to say 8-10% bf. and then clean bulk?

I understand that there is some confusion about what to do
when you return, but I think that you should consider what
you do while you are away.

The 4th of July Holiday is coming up here in the US.
I am going to be taking a trip, and have some concerns
myself about alcohol consumption over the span of about
five days, in addition to the time away from the gym.

To try and curb the effects of the beer I am going to be
alternating a cup of beer with a cup of water. Hopefully
the water will help flush nasty things from my body. Atop
this I also plan on keeping bloat away, and reducing my
calorie intake below my basal metabolic rate.

Regardless of the effects of the beer it is a calorie source.
By reducing my meal intake I can attempt to offset its effects.

One more thing I hope to do is go swimming in the morning
for an hour or so. Running is a possibility too.

As far as what to do when you get back, why not try some
of these strategies and then decide when get back and
    measure yourself?
