    Oro-gastric sondage

Imagine that if could eat ONLY sweet potatoes and chicken breast for one month... We know that this is a perfect combination of CHO and PTN, in adition you take some vitamins and minerals caps and some good fat from oliva oil...

Imagine the transformation that it would do to your body, that would be perfect: if you want to bulk just add more of it, if you want to cut just take small portions, many people do that close tho their competition period, but just for a little time because its boring and tasteless, and you get sick of it because you just eat that shit.

I was thinking of that right now, and I remembered of an hospital that I've staged wich take care of cancer child... My professor said that the moms love when their children get a Naso-gastric sondage, because they eat more and dont get that ill aspect, it's just push the liquid food by the catheter and they are nutrished...

And I get in the point: why can't we do the same? Insert a catheter by the mouth to the stomach and push some chicken breast with sweets, all processed into a jelly solution? That may sound weird at first, but I just eat for pleasure in weekends, the most part of my meals are only for the nutricional value... You could eat 100g, 200g, 500g of sweet + breast in 5 minutes and just remove the catheter, put a bubble gum in the mouth (for stimulate the liberation of gastric acid) and do watever you wanna do!

No more time wasted with meals, no more boring chewing, no more bad taste, no more fat and more muscle!

What happens if you have a cold or allergies for the nasal feeder? (i.e. congestion)

I think we're geared too much towards meals as a social time, a relaxation, a chance to appreciate one of our 5 senses. I've done several months of very restricted diets for competition over the years and some days I can just shovel it down, other days I really want to enjoy the taste. When I could stand chicken, I really appreciated a well-grilled chicken breast. I've actually gotten to the point where I'm able to eat chicken in a restaurant but the stuff that I cook at home (even grilled) makes me gag. I rely much more on lean ground turkey but even then I'll put some mustard or salsa or pepperoncinis on it to give it some variety. I tend to use vinegary stuff as my flavoring when I'm dieting. My other "flavor" is diet Coke or diet Pepsi, and lately I"ve been on a big lemonade Crystal Lite kick. You see the trend towards tart flavors.

I also rely heavily on hoodia when I'm dieting - I find it basically kills my taste buds so I don't have a 'taste' for things - this is often what triggers the desire to eat to get a certain flavor or something that sounds good and gets you salivating. But I will tell you that after a while I really miss enjoying the taste of foods and I really do appreciate the taste of things so much more when I drop the hoodia and get my taste buds back.

I think it would suck and be very hard to live w/o the sense of taste and just get some mush of nutrients thru a tube.

I understand your point, in fact, I've thought about that before I post here...

Initially, the sondage should be orally, it's more confortable, less painful and less vomit stimulating.

This discussion about the taste and desire for food is very good, you are absolutely true when you say that we NEED the sense of tasting and smelling the food, it's a natural instinct of the human being.

IMO this crazy process shoud not be done with every single meal, and not every single day also... I think the weekend and 1-2 meals a day should be solid, for stimulating the senses...

In a close future I'll make the experience, see where it goes and relate here in the forum... I'm really excited about this crazy idea... Lol

My girl said that I got crazy and don't belive this insane thinking could come from my mind

Although the idea sounds tempting, I promise you that as soon as that NG or OG tube enters into your throat, you will rip it right back out.

Yes... I saw some of that live due to my profession and it's not very confortable...

I dunno if I could get used to it, but I think that this topic will be a kind of repport of my "experience" ehehehe

Some pple at youtube can do it with no problems, I think it's a matter of getting used to.

Whatever, I'll try and tell you guys!

As a standard part of your day I would think your teeth would get squishy as well. The thing is that we're designed to do things a certain way and by-passing them w/ some artificial means has got to have some repercussion, and the only reason I'd see doing it is if is absolutely necessary and not for convenience.

Put it this way, I'd never do it.
