Things that make you go BLUR!

An excerpt from my journal got me thinking.......we should share our colllective knowledge........

What changes in food, climate, training, ect.......affect your level of muscular definition on a daily, hourly, minute to minute basis?

...you can tell what food, liquid, an exercise does to and for the body. You can blur definition with a drink, a few ounces of the wrong food, over carbing, under-carbing. Carbs hit at different rates....it's so challanging to figure out what works and when, knowing that the body adapts and acclimates so quickly sometimes.....what works the last time (days, weeks, months ago), may not work this time. It can be so frustrating.

(at this point I was thinking about deliniating things I've learned, but they seem so specific to me....)

    24 hours under 30-40 C and I look better
    48 hours under 30-40 C and I go flat
    72 hours under 30-40 C and I must carb
3-4 hours after simple carbs I look good
12 hours after more complex carbs I look a little nicer
Too many carbs, as in a few meals in a row, and I spill
then 24 hours after that I look better....a cycle

Coffee blurs me, caffeine pills do not
Oatmeal bloats me, Sweet potatoes do not
Lemon Crystal light (limited) is a diurectic, other flavors bloat me
Balance bars produce a nice cut 3-12 hours later as a carb source
Nuts are bad.......cheese is bad! Although neither are devatating!
    So....WHAT blurs you?

My DP is mighty chatty and introspective lately...

Hmm....That's a long list of great observations DP..will have to pay attention more to my body and how it reacts to all those foods...

The only thing I know is if I eat too many carbs, those are the things that make my body go....pfft!!!

Oh yeah, Chocolate blurs me!!! Makes me go insane!!!

Ditto for me on that one lina! Add too much dairy and my friends dont want anything to do with me

I've become more aware recently of how my body reacts to carbs! I did the cutting diet for a while, went back to a "normal healthy diet" and now back to the cutting diet. I think that was my reality check that I cannot handle alot of carbs on a daily basis but I do okay with the carb ups.

I guess it takes stupidity to learn huh?

    Alcohol.
Even if it's only 1 or 2 units, it spells disaster for my definition.

Alcohol makes me look really cut the next day.
A little bit of dried fruit (ie raisens, prunes, cranberries) fill my muscles out and make my look pretty cut as well.
However, Pasta and dairy completely destroy my abs and defenition.
