Get on a treadmill and set it for an 8min/mile pace and run until you hit 16 minutes. That's what I used to do when I had a PT Test coming up without much prep. You do that every day followed by some sprints and you'll be good to go.
i've been out of the running game for a long times because i've been bulking and didnt wanna lose weight but now i have a pt test in three weeks for the army and i have to run two miles in 16:36 but i'm in no way cardiovascularly prepared for that, any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I'd go to your local school and use the track there usally 400m a lap and start timing yourself.Shoot for 2min a lap that'll get you to a 16min 2mile pace
Start runnin man. Warm up with a jog and progress from there

now its time to run on daily basis..by doing this you will gain your form back.
thanks for the tips guys.

Get on that treadmill one thing that has helped me in the past is not look at the time till you have hit your goal for that day. For instance, if your using an iPod try to go for a total of 2 songs straight at let's say 5mph that should put u at about .7 of a mile if u walked for the first 2 min. Start from there and add a song or 2 everyday till you have reached your final goal. Just a suggestion. Good luck
on a mission

Higher a giant pissed off mother fucker to chase and just try to run faster

I have been experimenting a lot lately with my running and
trying to improve particularly for HIIT.
So far what I have seen as being lacking the most from my program
is what is most important: rest. I always have tons of effort
(everyone usually does), and want I to get out there every day
but my body's response has not been so agreeable.
Maybe you can have some success by training every other day,
or even every two days. This may sound counterintuitive and I know
you don't have much time to experiment, but rest has been the
biggest key to improving my running.
BTW, what makes you think that running prevents bulking?
