    Its not that hard!!!

Ok, I may be just ranting a little out of frustration, but I'm just pissed. I am sick and tired of people talking about how they can't get bigger or can't get more cut and when I speak with them about their diet I find out that they either eat all kinds of crap, eat too much, eat too little (people that skip breakfast and lunch just kill me), eat all carbs, etc, etc.

These are also the same people that abuse fat burners, rely too much on some new magic supplement, are always changing training programs or just quit altogether.

It really is not so hard to eat right. It just takes planning and some discipline. YOU WILL NEVER LOOK LIKE YOU WANT TO IF YOU DON'T EAT RIGHT! There are so many excuses but they all really suck because it is just not that hard!

And forget the word diet...just change your lifestyle and eating habits. Once you do I promise you will look better, feel better, sleep better, get sick less, have nicer skin, better hair, stronger bones, etc, etc, etc.

    Ok, rant over...

Thanks gopro, but where the hell were you the first three years I was lifting? I did not know the 1800 calories and 130g protein were not enough, and I wondered why I wasn't adding muscle.

Man, I must've trained 15 clients today in person, and several online, and I lectured each and every one of them on nutrition and its importance to their overall results as well as their health and well being.

I'm glad you all agree with me and feel like I do. Eating well is not just for the competitive bodybuilder before a show. Eat shit and look/feel like shit.

Dammit, some people are more concerned with what they put in their cars than in their bodies!! Come on people, God gave us just one body...take care of it...respect it!

    (Guess I'm still ranting, huh?)

I know a guy (he's a pretty big asshole) but I gotta respect him. He's been wheelchair bound for years because he got shot in the back in a fight years ago..he was a bouncer and being a big prick to a guy, but didn't deserve this..

point is..he still lifts like crazy and is active...and he gets so pissed off when he sees these lazy ass people complaining about being fat..and all this crap going on out there....he says that he feels like break their necks...and what he would give if he could walk like they can and that they don't know how lucky they have it..yet they waste their bodies and throw them down the shitter...

no matter what, you gotta respect that about the guy...

I'm so glad all of you know exactly where I'm coming from. It is especially aggravating to someone in my profession to see the way people eat and take care of themselves. There is few things more satisfying then a client telling me how much better they feel after changing over to a decent diet and training program.

Exactly. I have felt so much better over this last year because of the exercise I've been doing..first running, now intense weight training. I just feel alive you know? And I love feeling sore after a workout!

I dont have your dedication, or your desire, but I totally agree and understand on some level.

If you want it you WANT IT, if you want it to be handed to you then you dont really want it.

People want it NOW, and they want to eat 3 times a day, and they want to eat whatever they want. I dont get asked very often but once in awhile you talk to someone and you tell them about the dietary habits that are bodybuilding friendly, and they gasp, "I can't do that", "thats crazy!" and the like are the normal responses. "Do you think 100 grams of protein is enough?".........

Wether a slow learner or not, if someone really wants it they will stick with it. I am a hobby whore and I like alot of things, but there are those few individuals like Arnold and GP and etc, that have sole dedication to almost one thing only and go at it WITH A M'F!NG VENGANCE! No BS chatter in the gym, just freaking "bidnass".

Lack of dedication/doing things right also reminds me of gearheads on thier 5th cycle and still at a 170 pound bodyweight doing over a gram of test a week.....

    Thats people for you!

Good story Freeman! So try, true to remember, and respect what you have in life.

MY,my...I thought this was going to be one of those pornal thread!!!

    Cough,cough...Ok some seriousness!!!
Yes you are so right gopro,I agree with you 100% !!!
It's all been said,(you are what you eat...)
The thing that strikes me is that if you wait 'til you are (sorry I had to)
it does get harder to switch, from being a full pledge couch potatoe with the eating habits that comes with the seat to a lean, mean healthy human!!!
Most of the membership is younger then you and I (Ok,I know you have been doing this for a while,if not most of your life )anyway,my point is,you won't be sorry later on in life if you eat properly, and lead a healthy life!!!

yeah, so I don't have jack to do in this town, no friends here etc...so I order take out from Outback because I did'nt feel like cooking, I missed a meal earlier in the day and a steak ain't too bad! so anyways..I'm sitting in the lobby waiting for them to bring my food when two of the fattest people walk in....a couple...seriously we're talking upwards of 400lbs easy. they guy is hooked up to some damn breathing machine or some shit...and I'm thinking, "ok, you're bigger than my apartment complex...you've got tubes coming out of your nose and probably other "unseen" areas...so, why the hell are you about to oder a 20oz steak, loaded potato, and probably beers and dessert????"

I just don't get it. I know I probably didn't have the "best" meal in the world, but I think we can all see the difference here! I don't get mad at them, I'm just in awe of how awful these people can treat their bodies!!!

they can't get out of bed because thier are so fat (they keep eating ) well someone feeds them

I guess either you want to do it yourself (me)

Hi everyone, im new here but I have been reading through these posts and it's pretty funny how everyone thinks that fat burners are the magic solution to their laziness. Working out and eating right isn't jus something you can do for a couple of months just to get ready for summer like a lot of people do, its a whole lifestyle and commitment. Oh yeah "EXCUSES ARE FOR QUITERS"

    Funny story:

Just had a new client come into my gym and say that he is totally motivated to change his body. I said "great!" We talk about his training...how many days of weights, cardio, etc. We get it all planned out and then I broach the subject of diet. He says to me, "Oh, I don't want to change my diet!" He then says, "If I train hard I figured I can keep eating whatever I want and I'll just burn it off!"

    Sure, that'll work...
