I found a site that said something about water which I found interesting. Unfortunately I lost the site URL (browser crashed, doh!).
Anyway, it said that you spend 120 calories everytime you drink 1 gallon of ice cold water. It said that you body needs to warm that water up and spends energy doing it.
Can anyone confirm/deny this? If its true, its pretty cool
It probably varies by person so who knows what kind of 'average theoretical human' they are using, but yes if you are cold what does your body do, it counteracts that by maintaining heat, ergo extra caloric burn but not much to speak of.
