if i'm trying to put on 15lbs of muscle in 6 months what should i focus on?

i'm also trying to cut about 10lbs of fat for summer but won't worry about definition until April or so, but when i do, i use less carbs right?

A lot of people post their diets in the Online Journals and in this forum. Best thing you could do is find someone your size and copy theirs pretty closely.

The basic rule of thumb is that you get at least 1 -> 1.5 grams of protein per pound of LBM and you can adjust your levels of Carb and Fat intake based on whatever you happen to be going for at the time.

For 15 pounds of muscle in 6 months, I'd suggest A LOT of everything.

70-90 grams of fat? that seems like an awful lot

is that total or per lb of weight? Don't i need more protein to put on the muscle?

and where do i get the fat from? Fast food? Red meat? Does it matter?

Red Meat, Eggs, Dairy and Flax are all good sources.. I shoot for more than 70-90, it all depends on you man..

remember it's 4 calories per gram of protein or carb and 9 calories for a gram of fat.

    What's your height/weight? I'm 6'2 180 and I eat about 2800 - 3000 cals a day.
