    Need help with proteins

Hi. I need help with proteins. I'm trying to loose weight (a lot of weight) and I need to know what are some good veggies to eat.

Please list veggies here which are great to eat for fat loss.

I'm mainly looking for ideas on veggies, but if you want to include other foods I should eat that are high in protein, please post them.

    Thanks in advance.

Good veggies to eat would be anythin green and leafy.

Veggies are not high in protein. Not many calories in veggies, but tons of micronutrients (vitamins and minerals).

To lose fat you really need try eating below maintanance calories, eat clean carbs, eat more often and exercise (weight training would be ideal). Foods don't make you lose fat, its the way that you eat which will decide whether or not you lose fat.

Do you have a diet worked out?

Yes, I have a diet worked out, but still trying to find ideal food to eat.

Basically, I'm eating 4 times a day and drinking lots of water. Trying to add a 5th meal somehow. Here are the times I'm eating:

    9 to 9:30
    12 to 12:30
    3 to 3:30
    6 to 6:30

I'm cutting out pasta's and heavy carbs and sticking with fruits, veggies, & fish/chicken.

I'm also going to weight lift 4 days a week. Doing heavy cardio for 4 days and mild cardio for 3.

Heavy meaning stepper, running, bycicle, rope jumping etc...

Mild meaning going out for a walk.

My weight lifting rooteen will take about 30 minutes. My cardio is 1 hour.

So I'm doing 30 minute cardio, weight lifting, 30 minute cardio during the weight lifting days.

Then an hour walk on the mild cardio days.

    Carefull, some fruits have sugar.

Lifting 4 days per week sounds like a good idea. What does your split look like? That much cardio! Cardio decrease lean muscle mass which is exactley what you need to get your metabolism kickn'. I would say don't do any cardio. But if it makes you feel better do one day of some high intensity cardio
( I would only do 20-30min.) is okay I guess. 7 days of cardio isn't good at all, you need to rest to grow! All that cardio along with the weight lifting looks like trouble to me. (but that's just me. I don't believe in cardio............okay maybe a little little bit at the tail end of a cut but other than that cardio is not for me)

Post your workout routine (ie which muscles, which days, how many sets, etc.)

is that Pat, i-do-an-hour-of-cardio-seven-times-a-week, telling someone that they are doing too much cardio, lol?

    Redfx,

what do your actual meals look like? Whats your weight and how many cals are you planning on taking in each day?

I agree with P-funk, you need to decrease your cardio and increase your weight training time. With a proper diet you can probably drop cardio and gain muscle and lose fat simoultaneously. I'm of course under the assumption that you're a relative newbie to bb'ing, or eating like a bb'er.

Hey now.....you know.....Pat only does 0 hrs of cardio per day. Cardio scares me. However it is good to just walk on the treadmill in the back of the gym and look at all the girls. If that is your idea of cadio is guess it's okay. lol

I'm 270lbs and 33% body fat. I'm trying to loose weight (obviously ).

I'm still trying to figure out how I should eat. I know that I need to relax on the carbs and eat allot of protein. Based on some recomendations and from what I read on this forum, I've already had 2 eggs this morning and going to have tuna for lunch.

I'm of course under the assumption that you're a relative newbie to bb'ing, or eating like a bb'er.
Yes, I'm a newbie. Any help would be appreciated.
