Am I right in saying that soybeans are rich in Alpha-Linolenic Acid, an omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acid (like what's in flax oil)?

Isn't Alpha-Linolenic Acid extremely unstable at high temperatures, forming trans-isomers?

So, eating roasted soybeans results in you eating bad fats?

    Hmmm. I dunno.

I like the soybean snacks personally but I eat them very rarely.

Anyone eat soybeans in other forms? I see them for sale at my grocery store (fresh), but I have no idea how you would cook them. Do you cook them like green beans or something, and if so - how do they taste?

I used to be vegan, so I ate soy-based things ALL the time. Stuff like tofu. It can taste ok if you do it right. It takes on the flavor of whatever you cook it with or marinate it in.

Other than that, I am not sure how to cook soybeans, I assume it's similar to any other "bean" ...well, not Mr. Bean - I'm not sure how to cook him.
