    overthinking this too much?

sorry guys for another possibly stupid question but i wonder about my meals.

im currently bulking (possibly clean) and wonder if I can do it eating 5 whole food, natural meals (no protein powders, no sugars, no creatine)

my diet consists of lean beef, eggs, turkey breast, buckwheat, rice (basmati, parboiled, brown), sweet potatoes, olive oil, butter, nuts and all varietes of vegetables

so basically im consuming ~200g protein, ~380-420g (including vegetables , overall carbs a bit less on nonworkout days ), ~90g fat

it is divided almost equally by 5 meals, but last with more fat and without direct carbs.

so the gaps between meals are ~3,5h

so if I eat my 3rd meal at 2.30pm
and wait 2h and then workout at 4.30 pm
and my workout ends 5.30pm , and then i take quick shower and i am ready to eat my 4th meal 15 minutes later

so it is okay? or I need some special kind of pre/post workout nutrition

both these meals are meat, rice/sweet potato, moderate fat and a lot of veggies (typically ~40g protein, 90g carbs, 15g fat)

am I overthinking this? because everyone suggests some kinf of special postworkout nutriotion like shakes etc. can I just eat whole food meal 2h pre and almost directly post my workout?

Is ok. Why not get whey protein (1-1.5 scoop) and make a shake post workout (add 30-45g of carbs-dextrose, maltodextrin, waxy maize etc.). Than eat a solid meal 1hr later.

Yeah you can. But it would be ridiculous to miss that golden opportunity post workout. I would get some whey.

Diet looks good but Whey protein post workout can't be replaced. It is utilized by the body faster than any real food protein and there is that window after your workout that you want to take full advantage of so whey is probably a good addition...
