    Chicken?

When I eat a chicken breast for lunch the avg size is 6.5-7.5oz. 40-50 grams of protien now is my body using this or just pissing out most of it? Calorie wise it is perfect choice for lunch usually have a yogurt(Greek) with it so there is another 14grams of protien. Some help me am I just wasting protien?

AFAIK that whole thing about only being able to absorb so much protein from one meal is bullshit. A piece of meat can take 24 hours or more to pass through the intestine which is where most of the actual absorption takes place. Also meal timing isn't as important as many people think IMO. As long as you're hitting your macros for the day it really doesn't make much difference whether you eat it in 5 meals or 3. The only real reason I can see for trying to eat every 2-3 hours is because it makes it easier to stomach than a couple of huge meals.

It might be a bit different for whey which digests very quickly, but from whole food sources you'll have plenty of time to absorb all of it. Your body will even slow down the passage of food if necessary to get the most out of it.
