    Excersizing and loosing weight ?

IM starting to get back into the gym and want to cut a bunch of weight and start getting more healthy.

Are there any negative things about cutting out carbs and excersizing ? It seams I can really take weight off when I cut out my carbs but im not sure how that will affect my body when I put a lot of excersizing into the mix.

Thanks in advance for any helpful info.

There are no negative impacts in cutting carbs. Keep your protein up and get adequate fats and go kick ass in the gym.

Hey there - another lower-carb dieter here. I lost the weight on the Atkins diet, lifting weights a few times a week. I keep it off with a lower carb intake than most.

How about you read homework I and see if you can figure out how to get in what you need from the foods you already eat. Any meat, eggs, fish, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt and whey powder are fine for protein. Avoid unfermented soy.

Healthy fats include olive oil, egg yolks, chicken skin, butter, raw nuts (walnuts are excellent) and fish oil, to name a few. Avoid flax oil, avoid vegetable oils, and avoid transfats (ie no shortening, no margarine).
Wondering where to start? Confused? "Homework 1" will get you started.

Think you're ready for the "next step"? Take this test.

If you're fussy, you'll like this setup - you get to use your own foods that you're already eating; you just rework their relative proportions.

Try this: work out one sample day in fitday. Post it up when you've got it worked out and we'll make suggestions from there.

Not necessary to eliminate or reduce carbohydrate intake for cutting. Increased amounts of fats may temporarily help with satiety. Are you looking at performing a ketogenic diet? Read Lyle's book, lots of good literature about low carbohydrate intake and training.
