When I did it, all I ate was eggs and turkey bacon or chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning. I eat to live, not live to eat. Needless to say, my menu was bland as hell.

I'm sure Built or others who are more knowledgeable can chime in.

I get ya......It's funny because my wife can get up at 6am and put cold chicken or steak on top of a salad and eat away. I cant eat anything that isnt cooked right then and there. Once something is cooked and hits my fridge I will not touch it.

If I were on Atkins, I would be eating bacon like a mofo for breakfast.

    Lunch too.

Not usually. Once in a while I will pack a salad. I hate the way food gets when sitting in a cooler or bag. I havent been dieting long so eating was never a problem...lol

Now that im dieting , i'll try to pack salad but thats about it. I wont eat beef or chicken cold. If Im on a job , i'll try to find grilled chicken or steak tips n salad.

I ate steak and eggs or bacon and eggs.

Fried in butter. You can have coffee - use splenda, and whipping cream instead of table cream.

Whipping cream ? Thats very good to know. Thank You for posting that. It's been killing me not to have coffee or tea in the morning.

I've been scrambling my eggs in water and eating them with bacon...not bad.

Remember that Atkins is high fat/protein. It's ok to try them in oil. The key is to keep the carbs low to none.

Once you get into Ketosis...then the the weight will begin to fall off. Get yourself some keto strips from the store so your absolutely sure. They check your urine for ketones which would be beneficial for you.

Fry your eggs in butter, or in the bacon grease. Remember, most of your calories should now come from fat.

Isn't this just an amazing diet? It's one of the few blessings available to fat people - it works - and feels - the best when you're at your fattest. You'll need some strategy as you lean out, so keep reading while you enjoy your progress on Atkins. I worked my way through this process myself, as did Jagbender and several others on this board so ask us anything.
