Cook it in chicken broth. Really makes the taste pop, delicious stuff.
Excellent carb source, one of the best. It's quite expensive though compared to bread, pasta, and rice, even the brown whole-grain versions of each. Add it to your diet for sure, but don't make it your only carb source. Balance is key.

Heard it is great. I stick to pasta and rice though....cheaper lol

I use it frequently. I cook mine with salt, pepper and cumin. Then I make a spicy TVP(textured vegetable protein) and mix the two. It is a great alternative to help prevent getting bored with your food choices. You could use ground beef or anything else you like. I make a sort of dirty rice with it.
