    Quinoa for carb source...

At bro at the gym suggested I use Quinoa as a carb source when bulking...

I have never heard of it, but I looked it up and was impressed...

    Has anyone tried it?...

    Any pros or cons?...

Its good stuff. Kinda has a nutty taste to it. You cook it like rice. Its got mad aminos and all kinds of other good shit. A word of advice, soak them first. They are covered in a thin layer of something like wax. Itll taste better if you do.
It doesn't matter how you find the pot of gold, so long as you beat the leprechauns.

Excellent carb source, one of the best. It's quite expensive though compared to bread, pasta, and rice, even the brown whole-grain versions of each. Add it to your diet for sure, but don't make it your only carb source. Balance is key.

I use it frequently. I cook mine with salt, pepper and cumin. Then I make a spicy TVP(textured vegetable protein) and mix the two. It is a great alternative to help prevent getting bored with your food choices. You could use ground beef or anything else you like. I make a sort of dirty rice with it.

Mix it with oat groats for an awesome breakfast porridge.

That sounds like a good idea. I will have to try it.
