I eat perfect up until 7pm. Thats when all the cravings come into play. Chips, sweets, cookies & milk. It's killing all the work I do during the day. Can anyone recommend low carb snacking ideas on both the salty side as well as the sweet side that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?
One of my favorites are pickles, they come in all kinds of flavors just stay away from the sweet ones cause they have suger in them. I also like FREASH greenbeans lightly steamed and I cover them in salt then dip in fat free ranch. Hope this helps.
I used to have the same problem as you eating cookies/ice-cream/popcorn at night. I was at the point where I'd run out to the store at 1AM, eat a bunch of junk food, throw the rest out after feeling guilty, then repeating the process the next night..
It's not so much a matter of finding a replacement snack as it is breaking out of the habit of looking for a snack in the 1st place. Go cold turkey on the stuff, cook some eggs the next time you get a craving and after about a week of getting the sugary crap out of your system you'll notice the cravings go away.
go to the gym at night bro. I too put on the feedbag at night, and found my solution to be at the gym. Sometimes just to foam roll from the day's earlier workout. Did wonders for my sleep too, as I'm not digesting a bunch of crap during sleeping hours. Now it is easier to stay home and not munch, but when I get the crave and can't stifle it, gym bound bro.
if your blood sugar crashes you'll get hungry.......5 or 6 small meals a day.....a little carbs ..protein.. fat..in every meal will help sustain your sugar levels....
I recently purchased some Silk Coconut milk.
When mixed with Casein Protein there was a reaction and it made the "shake" really thick... So
I got some unsweetened coconut. natural vanilla flavor and psyllium powder.
coconut cream pie pudding
16 oz silk coconut milk Vanilla flavor
2 scoops Vanilla casein protein
1 t psyllium powder
3 T shredded unsweetened coconut
put in a medium bowl and mix with a hand mixer.
put into 4 small bowl and refrigerate.
Enjoy
