    Low Sodium Tuna

I went to this new store around hear that caters to organic/natural foods. Its great, its the size of a regular grocery store. Well anyway, they had this Albacore in water there that was no salt added only 80MG per 2 oz and it was only $1.49 per can. It appeared to be the stores own brand.

So what do you think is this good as far as sodium goes for Tuna/Albacore? I don't have any of my old cans to find out and I customize everything in Fitday and I never list the sodium.

Also, do you think its a benefit to get the low sodium?

Jodi - did you try Wall Mart? I was there this morning and picked up some more tuna and they had the low sod tuna for @ 1.29 a can (somewhere around there).

As for other cans - I've got Bumble Bee Chunk light and it's 250mg per so that is considerably less.

As for benefit - I guess it depends on your diet needs.

Only 1-2 days before a contest, and only if sodium depleting, some who use diuretics don't.

Oh, I bought a bunch of this kind at the natural food store today. I normally pay $1.79 can for Stakist Albacore so this was a really good price. Its actually Albacore and not regular Chunk Tuna. I can't eat Chunk Tuna. But your has 250mg for how many ounces??

250mg per serving = 2.5 servings per 6.0 oz can. Does that help?

Well, sorry about the chunk light tuna (read in a ritzy voive) J/K Jodi!
