    Natural foods to Protect you Against Cold Season

    We must give preference to vegetable soups as satisfying, warm and low in calories, and to rediscover the typical traditional dishes such as Grandma's soups, purees of vegetables full of fiber and vegetable protein.

    Not to mention the potatoes, you can do a thousand different ways: baked, in soups and stews with other vegetables, and stewed.

    Bread or biscuits with white flour, refined or sugary cereals, crisps, cakes and pastries of white flour.

    Canned fruit and sweeteners, bottled fruit juices or frozen.
    Whole milk, high fat cheeses, ice cream and whipped cream.
    Pork, veal, lamb, chicken and fried fish.
    Margarine, hydrogenated oils, tropical oils and saturated animal fats all.
    Coffee and soft drinks.
    Advised Food

    GROUP CEREALS, bread and potatoes: All whole grains such as wheat, millet, brown rice, steamed potatoes or baked, and pasta.
    GROUP Pulses: Dried beans, lentils, soybeans and derivatives, and bean sprouts.
    Groups of seeds and nuts: walnuts, hazelnuts, figs, raisins, almonds, and all natural.
    VEGETABLE GROUP: All and especially green cabbage, carrot and pepper.
    Fruit Group: All types of fresh fruit raw or fresh juices, especially apple, orange, kiwi, pineapple and grapes.
    Milk Group: Milk and yogurt and low fat cheese. You can also substitute soy milk or milkshakes.
    MEAT GROUP: Skinless chicken, and all types of fish or crustaceans, especially fresh fish.
    GROUP OF FAT: Four to six tablespoons of olive oil a day.
    Star Foods

    Some foods can guarantee us to have a good winter and we should never fail in our pantry

    Ginger: This is a good natural anti-inflammatory that is good in case of sore throat that should be integrated into our diet.
    Pineapple: Bromelain contains fresh pineapple reduces inflammation and swelling. The pineapple is considered an important traditional natural remedy for sore throat.

    dumb question but how often do you eat "millet" I don't think I ever have, unless my mom tricked me into it when I was younger....lol
