    Angry I'm fat!!!!!

Ok so I've been doing Gopro's shock routine for almost two weeks now- repeated power because it wasnt very effective last week, and my muscles are killing me this week!!! so im pretty happy about that. but theres one thing im not happy about:

three days ago i weighed 175.9 lbs, a new high for me (i started at 142 last march). i was finally starting to see my abs breaking through, too, so i have been losing body fat! pretty much all my weight gain has been muscle.

then today, i only had a hot dog for lunch, a jello pudding pack in the afternoon and about 4-6 oz of ham for dinner, plus some au gratin potatos (yeah, it was a really crappy day for eating, i usually dont eat like that, im just saying i didnt have much food in my stomach or intestines). so i get on the scale tonight (i always weigh in at the same time each day) and i weighed 178.0!!!! i couldnt believe it, i was wearing the same clothes as i always do (well, same weight anyway, same clothes would be stinky and gross) then i looked down and realized that ive gained weight on my stomach and its kinda substantial

i am trying to bulk really bad and make it up to like 190-195 then cut, but am i really supposed to gain that much fat? how much should i be gaining, cause for a while i was losing fat.

oh yeah i forgot to mention i smoked last night and came back and ate two pizzas and some pudding packs. i got the munchies hardcore, and im thinkin it might be the pizzas ive been eating lately (yeah, i know, i really dont pay attention to what i eat as long as it has protien in it, and each pizza has 16 g of protien), does marijuana have any detrimental effects to lifting (assuming you dont lift when youre high of course)

let me know what you think and what i can do about it. thanks, and sorry for the long message!!

Let's put it this way...It all depends on your metabolism, how you burn fat. With pizza you have to be careful with all that bread and cheeze .A fast metabolism can get away with that though ,but not everyone can do that.
Thing I see you doing is maybe putting on too much fat and then loosing hard earned muscle while trying to burn it back off.
    But da munchies will killya!!!

No offense man, but based on what you have said, your diet looks like hell man. 16 grams of protein is not jack, especially when you eat it with 100 grams of fat. But the term bulking up mean just that. In no way does it even rythm with "look at my abs". So yes, getting fat can be normal when bulking. I say chuck your damn scale in the trash. I hate those things. Sure, you may weigh the same at a particular time of day, but if you are changing something around, don't expect it to read the same.

I'm not big on the weed, so I have no comments there.

Wow...I'm kinda shocked that you're kinda surprised that your fat.

That diet is kinda the worst one I've seen in a long time. Yes...It's normal to gain a little fat while bulking....but the majority of what you gain should be muscle, not fat and that comes down to a proper diet

I'm assuming you aren't talking about plain cigarrettes. Dope slows down your metabolism. As other people have mentioned your diet isn't awe inspiring. I have no clue how often you smoke, but as we all know( well those of us who occasionally partake), there seems to be no limit as to the amount of food you can cram into your body when the "munchies" strike. You're body will store the excess amounts of foods as fat, and eating a lot of pizza ( and other junk/fast food) in one sitting with a slowed metabolism is a sure way to bulk up in all the wrong places.

At least if you're going to smoke, then try to eat less and eat cleaner foods while you're at it.

Cheech, Chong, whichever, ditch the dope....and the diet. How many bodybuilding dead heads do you think there are? And how many hotdogs do you suppose are consumed by bodybuilders each year? Not many. The one thing I have learned from these folks is that diet is not just an important aspect of the game...it IS the game! So, do some searches on diet, clean food, etc. .......and listen to these guys.............................................. ...........and w8

I'm gonna move this over to diet as it really has nothing to do with training.

You need to figure out whats more important to you, having fun is one thing but if it interferes with your goals maybe you need to give your head a shake.
    Cool
