    Post workout shake?

I recently started bulking again and eating this many carbs is new to me. I wanted to know what is best to have right after I workout? I have just been drinking protein in milk. Should I get some dextrose and add that to them also? I'm afraid I'm not getting enough carbs in, especially after my workout. If so how much dextrose should I add?

    Thanks in advance

GMO gave me this tip. Look for Tampico Mango Punch in the juice isle. It's loaded with carbs and tastes like a orange cream smoothie when mixed with vanilla protein.

Lol I'll look for that but shouldn't I get some real dextrose if possible? I was thinking of adding about 60 grams to my shakes. I'm going to check a place in town that sells brewing equipment before class for dextrose. If I can't find it I'll look for that sugary shit after class when I go get some food lol thanks man

I normally get around 50g in my post workout shake. I drink this on the way back to the office from working out. As soon as I step in the door i go pound a bunch of food. Normally rice, chicken and some green beans.

Well I know that they fill it with sugar but I had just planned to get the straight dextrose.

I think I'm going to try and get at least 60grams in my post shakes then followed by a carb and protein meal. Thanks a lot for the help guys!

I may try to do that although I don't live far at all from the gym. I guess it is better to get it in as quick as possible. How much protein do you usually put in it?

Also, sloppy, I found that tampico but it had no dextrose in it. The main sweetener is high fructose corn syrup, in the tampico that I found anyway. I did pick up some gatorade mix until I can get some straight dextrose though.

Right on man. It works for me. But the gatorade is the ticket. I made my own creatine drink for a while and the gatorade was a key ingredient.

    30-80g dextrose
    10g BCAA's
    10g Leucine
    10g Glutamine Peptides
    10g Creatine

The amount of carbs varies depending upon what the goal is. Cutting 30-40, Maintaining 40-50, Bulking 50-80g

Ok, don't have any creatine right now but I do have some bcaas caps that I may break open and through in there. May help me heal considering I'm sore as piss constantly lol

Ok sounds good, I think may do about 4 tablespoons gatorade powder(56 carbs), 2 scoops vanilla whey(48 protein), 20oz skim milk(30 carbs, 20 protein) and maybe a banana. That should be pretty solid and I'll probably up the dextrose when I get some. Oh yea tried one scoop vanilla whey, 2 tbsp orange gatorade mix, and 20 oz milk last night and damn it tasted just like those orange dreamsicle popsicles lol fucking awesome

Yea, sucrose(table sugar) is the first ingredient but then dextrose. What the hell should work till I get some dextrose.

    Thanks guys, really appreciate it!
