    what are your goals?

BBs often eat 7-8 meals a day, but of course, those guys usually weigh 260lbs+.

what do you mean by overkill. If that number is what you need for daily calories then I don't see a problem.

8 meals per day is fine for both bulking and fat loss. Your overall calories depends on your goals (like freeman said) and also your overall program, as well as your current size/weight/BF%.

yeah, 8 meals (every two hours) would be ideal, as long as you're dividing the total calories and spreading across the 8 meals it's fine.

I only eat 6 meals (every 3 hours) because it's just too damn difficult when you work full time to eat every 2 hours.

Nothing wrong with eating 8 meals instead of 6 as long as you adjust (decrease) calories per meal...as you have. Looks good. I also find that 7-8 smaller meals work better for me...even when I eat slightly more I still get hungry after about 2 hours or so.
    Searching for the right balance...

Thanks for the info i think i'm going to give it a try. What i meant by overkill is that if i ate 7 or 8 meals i wouldn't be giving my body enough time to digest.
