    Best kind of steak?

I would like to know what kinds of steaks are good? I bought top sirloin and wondering if this is a lean cut or not. Also is eating steak everyday OK? I'm cutting so I would like to know. Thanks.

Tenderloin is the best tasting but in terms of the least fat....eye of round wins.

NO....tenderloin is usually about 10 grams of fat per 100g (3.5oz.) serving vs eye of round at about 4%.

Eye of round, top round, bottom round, top sirloin, and most cuts of flank are all leaner than tenderloin...as for taste and tenderness...now that's another story.

Search the USDA Nutrition database for more info if you wish....

Na man, I`ll take your word on it. Sirloin is my base anyway, tenderloin when I really want to enjoy it

If your looking for tenderness and flavor I would say tenderloin, rib and t-bone are the best. However if you want the most lean cuts then topround(inside), bottomround(outside), eye of round and flank are your best choices, but these are tough steaks and should be marinaded for tenderness. Sirloin and I don`t mean sirloin tip has better than average tenderness and is a little leaner than the average.

I like Dale's Steak Marinade, but the Montreal spice mix is way kicking too. (I use both on a steak alot of times, but you have to watch the sodium when you mix them. Marinade first, add the MS when ready to cook.)
