have determination! need information!!

need information!!!!!
I am very interested in fitness and would be interested in competition. However, my problem is I have no idea where to start. I will tell a little about myself maybe someone can give me some advise as to keeping trying or i'm dreaming. either way i'm gonna get there! Anyway I'm 30 yrs. old I have two children, my current weight is 114, I'm 5'5, my measurements are 34-25-30 .
I am in good shape, I workout everyday. But I do not know where to go from here. I started drinking slimfast soy protien drinks, but I was told that they would blot me???? I want to know what type of protien is best for females and how would I go about finding someone to help with a training program.
I live in Mattoon,ILL. and I'm not having any luck finding a program. thanks for your time in reading .

Okay, you said you're interested in competition so i'm assuming you want to cut your bodyfat. The only way to do this properly (especially if competing is your goal) is to develop a good diet. Also assuming you're in this for the long run, you'll probably have to change your eating habits completely. But don't worry, by the time your done here, you'll be looking at food in a completely different way.

To help you out on your diet, we'll need a sample of what you eat on any given day. Portion sizes, frequency etc. Try to be as specific as you can (ie not just cereal with milk, but 1 cup of fruity loops with 2 cups of milk or something like that).

If you want some help with your training program, go to the training forum and post there for help.

Yep, just like Yan said, you should work on getting your diet nice and clean.

Also you may want to attened a couple of fitness shows so that you can see how it all goes down and get a feel for what the judges are looking for.

-good luck

breakfast : 1 orange or grapefruit
1 cup bran flakes or wheat chex
1/2 cup skim milk
multivitamin

Grapefruit is better than the orange...has more fibre. Other good fruits would be apples, peaches, and berries. Bran flakes and wheat chex suck ....try switching to 1/2 cup plain oats and adding some form of protein....whey protein shake w/ cream or some eggs. Milk is high in sugar...trying switching to cream for less sugar

Snack: fat free yogurt

unless this is plain, low sugar yogurt, try to have something else here. Flavoured yogurt is too high in sugar. Get the plain and add your own fruit. Even better would be to make a meal and try some cottage cheese w/ apples and a little cheese....or chicken/fish/turkey/steak and some sort of slow burning carb like sweet potato or brown rice...and a healthy fat!

Lunch: 21/2 oz chicken breast or turkey breast
salad with 2 TBL fat free dressing
or I have a slimfast

Please...do yourself a favour, and throw out your fatfast...er, I mean slimfast. Get yourself a low carb whey protein shake. And switch to an oil based dressing like newmans

Snack: yogurt or apple or pretzels

It's far better to have 5-6 smaller meals than it is to "snack". Try making this into a small meal w/ a balance of slow burning carbs, healthy fats and protein

Dinner: different each day, but I have been getting a lot of high protein receipes that I try for dinner.Ex: I made Turkey and black bean chilli for dinner.

For starters....I think you should read the fat loss primer (Fat Loss Primer) ...then go to the sticky at the top of the nutrition forum and read all the threads in there

I am doing pretty well, but could do alot better I still have cheat days

Probably due to the sugar you have in your diet...reduce that and you'll reduce the cravings for sugar

I also do 45-60 min treadmill in A.M and weights PM

Last one! (Closet Cardio)
