What Kind of Progress Can I expect?

I've been working out on a well contstructed progressive intensity workout plan designed by weightlifters. I've tweaked and re-tweaked my diet thanks to many people here and their great advice.....I'm fairly convinced I'm doing everything right.

I'm in my 8th week and my weight has dropped from 214 to around 194, all fat.

I'm noticing good definition, less belly fat, and slightly bigger arms and shoulders. Legs and calves have seen some growth too...I have some muscles on the front of my calves I'd never seen before. Likewise my tris have gotten bigger.

With my shirt on nobody else is noticing any real changes (or at least making comments yet).

I'm 6 foot 4 and shocked at how much fat I was able to "hide" (and I still even have some pudge around the middle I hope to kill off).....I assume the same will be true of added muscle, as my long lean limbs will take longer for muscle to be noticed on....

Does it sound like my gains are normal for the 2 months mark? I need to keep myself motivated and not lose hope....

Dude, you lost 20lbs of fat in 8 weeks and gained muscle at the same time. Why are you even asking this question?

    Re: Yanick

    Yeah, I know...it's certainly progress....

But that fat loss is no big deal. With the right diet, you could do even light jogging and play chutes and ladders and lose that weight. It was all Philly Cheesesteaks and Chicken Cordon Blue anyway....

I guess I'm more curious about what kind of muscle additions are "normal" after two months...

If you see change, but no-one else does yet is that about normal?

Oh really? I sure wish you'd post this miracle diet plan so I could lose 20lbs BF and gain LM in a few weeks.

Well I meant I had gained most of that fat by just eating crap like Cheesesteaks and Chicken COrdon Bleu....all the nice saturated fatty artificial cheeses.....

Cut them out by themselves I bet I'd lose ten pounds alone.

    oh, now i got you.

My first year of bb'ing, i had no idea what a proper diet was and i used routines that i got out of M&F. In that year, i made the most progress that i have made from that point on. I went from a pudgy ass 200+lbs (at 5'8'' btw) to a leaner/bigger looking 180lbs or so.

Re: the fact that people can't see the changes. The general public is pretty retarded about bb'ing progress. People that will see you every few months, will notice the changes. But people that see you everyday (freinds, immediate family) will hardly ever notice the tiny changes that we can see from morning to night as bb'ers.

I know a girl that will swear that i have been in my present physical condition for the past three years now (thats how long i've been bbing).
