I always eat cottage cheese with some peanut butter (natural of course) before bed. It provides lots of slow-digesting protein(cassein) with only minimal carbs...and I actaully find the stuff yastes likea treat. As for the carbs...unless you're on a very low carb diet OR eat a lot of CC you should be fine IMO.

well im not on a low low carb diet i have fitted my diet to be that all meals are 33% of fat/carb/protiens. so its all equaled out. but the peanut butter with the cottage cheese? thats a little out there. Peanut butter is so fatty im not sure if im brave enough to eat that before i go to bed.

    1/2c cottage cheese=5g fat
1tbsp natty pb=8g fat (so one teaspoon is just under 3g of fat, 2.6666666666...........g fat)

Not that much difference in fat grams don't you think?

well now that you put it that way it isnt bad. i must get used to the portions sizes but i always thought fat before bed was bad but im now learning it isnt. takes a while to sink in but these new ways are making life more easy believe it or not. way back when i used to workout 3 hours everyday, then i learned it was nonproductive. simpler is always better.

lol...no worries P-Funk.....fat and protein before bed is actually good....for the most part...protein provides a constant supply of aminos overnight and the fat slows digestion. Obviously too much fat isn't good but a reasonable amount...say 15 grams or less give or take a bit should be fine. Just make sure it works in with your daily totals for macros and total cals.

Heavy Whipping Cream no whipped cream that you get on ice cream or anything. Wouldn't that be fun!

You can find it in the dairy aisle of your grocery store. Its 50 cals per Tablespoon and 5 grams of Fat, its great to mix in your shakes or have with your coffee!
