sorry to sound really stupid but could i just cook up some chicken breast and bang it in the blender lol?

im dirty bulking right now so its not at the top of my list of prefered foods if im honest but when the summer comes and i get rid of all the fat iv added i will be eating clean like this so any info on how to ground up the chicken would be great..

I wouldn't blend it...not the same as grinding.
I had to eat blended Thanksgiving/Christmas dinners when I was 18...jaw wired shut.

When you buy your boneless/skinless chicken breast at the grocery store or butcher just have them grind it for you.
They shouldn't charge you any extra for it.

You can pretty much substitute the ground chicken for ground beef in most dishes.

Blending the chicken is not a good idea.. I Think the best way it to just grill it

Some butchers, like the one I go to, won't grind the chicken. They told me it's too tough to clean the grinder afterwards.

    Re: Ground chicken breast?

Meat grinders are dirt cheap at swap meets if you're feeling feisty. I get my ground chicken breast at whole foods.

This... or I already had a Kitchenaid stand mixer (from my wedding registry.. go figure). Never used the damn thing until I realized there is a meat grinder attachment for it that I picked up on sale for $100. I still have the butcher grind it if I know ahead of time.. but this attachment allows me to do it myself whenever. Not to mention you can grind up multiple typse of meat to create some badass recipes.

Try buying ground 95 to 99% fat free turkey as a substitute for chicken. Just as cost effective as chicken with a higher protein content & lower fat. Great for cutting
