ive been visiting the board for a couple weeks and finally registered
![]() but here is my current situation: im 21, 5'11 and only about 135lbs. I want to get more muscle and put on some weight. I usually have a bowl of cereal in the morning and then an average lunch, sandwhich, chips, cookies, milk, fruit etc and a big dinner (depends on what mom makes ) But it seems no matter how much i eat or do not eat, my body usually stays around the same weight. On june 1st im moving out on my own and then getting a memebership through my school at balleys for free. My question is what kind of supplements should i take to help me bulk up and is there any kind of routine i should get myself into? Thanks for all ur help guys |

you will see little to no results with a diet like that...forget the supplements and training, you need to get a proper diet first.
start reading thru threads in diet & nutrition, member's journals and articles on the main site. welcome to the board! ![]() |

ive read through some of the diets and such, its just really hard for me because i start work at 5am so i dont have much time in the morning, and at lunch i have about 30 min which isn't a lot either. the only time i can really eat is at dinner which i usually try to do.
so i was just wondering if there was anything i could use to help me out because i usually lack time. but i will keep looking through and see if i can try and put some type of easy diet to do. |

following a "bodybuilding diet" is not easy, it takes time, forethought and preperation.
not having time is a poor excuse, it's right up there with "I have no time to work-out". it takes me 10-15 minutes to eat my lunch, which I bring to work everyday. the basics: 1. Eat 5-6 meals per day 2. Eat adequate calories to gain weight 3. Eat "clean" 4. Eat 1 to 1.5 grams protein per pound of bodyweight. |

I agree with Prince. It's all about preparation. 1 thing that helps me get the number of meals is preparing my meals the night before. If you don't mind leftovers you could even cook most of your meals up on the weekend throw em in the frezzer and use em as the week goes by. Buy some canned meat(tuna, chicken salmon) big help getting protein and if you have some extra money some protein powder never hurts. I'm in Cali so don't know how it works in the rest of the USA but if you work an 8 hour shift I get 2 mandatory 10 min breaks which for me is plenty of time to eat a meal.
