As I see it a recomp is not a bulk, but more clean calories than a cut cycle. Keep your carbs lower , moderate fat and protein up that will fuel the muscles for growth and your body will take the rest from current fat stores.
It also depends on where your starting from some guys say they want to recomp but there at 20+%bf. if that's the case you need to cut first or you'll never see the gains. It's easier to stay motivated when you see progress being made, if all your progress is being camouflaged by a layer of blubber you will feel like your just treading water.
