Nutrients for older lifter
Just turned 58. Been lifting seriously for about five years; nothing much before that. I drink BCAA's during lifting, I drink protein shake w/creatine & l-glutamine after workout. In gym about four-five times a week; lift for about 1.5 hours, then at least 20 min cardio, then stretch. My question is this: at my age, are BCAA's, protein shake, creatine, l-glut, all necessary? In other words, am I too old to benefit from any/all such? And/or, can any of such be harmful to an older guy?
