Low carb or a low fat diet?
Alright, I have been reading various posts- some saying low-mod fat diet is good and the other side who say low-mod carb is a better diet. Which one is better? I mean I know it has alot to do with body-type, and your goals. I think everyone knows my goal is to get cut, so I need to know what is good. Thanks

You mean high protein/moderate carb/low fat and high protein/moderate fat/low carb.
Well both will work. It depends on which one works best for you. You need to try them both out and find which one is less mentally stressful and easier for you to stick to. There is no 1 way or the other ![]() |

"Low fat" diets, in the sense of the ones used by society in this day and age, barely work past three weeks for most people for a host of reasons.
And most women tend to fair better on an low carb approach. There's a reason (or several) for this, i recall from reading an Elzi Volk article, but i've totally forgotten it (them).

If I go on a lowcarb, mod fat, high protein diet, would I have to have carb-up days to get some carbs or is low-carb 7 days a week fine?

) They found that with overweight females (non-athletes) they were more successful with fat/weight loss on a low carb diet. However, I have yet to see a study that involves "athletes". I believe that as a bodybuilder, or any athlete carbs are necessary in your diet, but that's just my opinion. BOARD SPONSORS: ![]()

Notice "most people". I.e. Not all people.
And i'm not touting a low carb approach either.

Oh Christ, no.
Maybe the last few weeks of dieting for more stubborn body fat deposits, but i'm an iso kinda guy through-and-through. The NHE thing was just an experiment. Just so i don't have to type out loads again, just glance the last page or two of DaMayor's LeptiGen journal to see my stance. It may also interest you to know that i've never actually done an "official" keotgenic diet. ![]()
