    I binged!!!

Okay it is midnight but I feel horrible. I just got home from my gf's house where I had a pretty good sized binge. Three large bowls of vanilla ice cream with lots of assorted nuts and whipped cream. Also had some chocolate peanut covered carmels. I have no idea why I do this?!?!?!?!? It usually happens once or twice a week. I eat excellent the rest of the time but I just can not string it all together. I really have some fat that I want to loose but it will never happen if I don't quit this sh*t. Anyone else had troubles with bingeing??? How did you overcome it. Any comments would be appreciated.

I've found that having a diet with moderate fat and high fiber have helped.

I haven't binged in over a year and I use to have those weekly binges except I would eat alot more than you did tonight! I would go to a 24 hour Mobile and buy a few pints of Ben and Jerry's, cookies, chips, bagels you name it and I would buy it and eat it. Oh, Pizza, 24 hour delivery or subs or calzone or anything. Or go to the local 24 hour breakfast place and eat pancakes and waffles. As you can see I love all the bad carbs

IMO...bingin is usually the result of a diet that is too restrictive....if you're cutting out too many foods throughout the week it's probably catching up to you...try to gradually make healthier food choices. Over time you'll eventually find yourself eating cleaner and cleaner without the need to binge. Trying to eat 100% PERFECT right away is a sure-fire ticket to binging.

Thanks for your opinions. They really do seem to help me. I probably am not eating enough calories would be my guess and I tried to cut the majority of carbs out too soon. Yeah I am quite restrictive. Get down on myself once I mess up and it just snowballs. Once I taste something that I love I can't stop. I guess I'll get back on the wagon!! Thanks

Try to work on eliminating "all or nothing thinking"...if you get off course....no matter how bad it is you can always start again
