The only carb powders I know of off hand would be for energy drinks. There are powdered potatos also, neither one would be long lasting carbs.

I think he is refering to the weight gainers carb powder. Most have 50-100g per scoop. Its mostly maltodextrin:

I can't say for sure but I would say no. Real food is always #1 answer and the calories you get from the powder won't compare to that of oatmeal or brown rice.

These powdered carbs you're referrring are almost always MALTODEXTRIN which is VERY high in terms of GI ratings.

Stick to slow burning carb sources like oatmeal, sweet potatos, brown rice, apples, berries, and vegies....with the exception of your post workout meal...if you're looking for the post workout insulin spike that would be the time to use the carb powders and combine it with some whey protein also for maximum results.

IMO nothing at all...personally I don't go for the insulin spike...I usually have egg whites and 3 servings of oats post workout.

The only time I ever used a supplement such as carb force was during hockey tournaments when we would play a couple or more games a day. And we were partying allot to, so it helped

    As I said I'm not a fan...at all...maybe under rare circumstances..but they'd be few and far between!
