Oh No From CARBOHOLIC TO NUTTY CHICK

Since last year my desire of carbs have totally vanished, being a vegetarian for a while in my life, eating protein was hard, now I love it, along with that my new cravings have changed.

Instead of craving stuff like ice-cream & desserts, I crave Myoplex in summer which is not the best whey drink, in the low carb land

Instead of chocalate bar-detours

My biggest problem are NUTS, I crave sunflower seeds, mix nuts & cashews like crazy, (I did the very low carb for a while, and ate nuts) .

Yesterday I ate maybe 10-12oz of nuts, thats load shit of calories.

Today I was craving avocados, and red meat too, thats means I am actually craving FAT, its whacky

I am eating a balanced diet nowadays, higher in protein, low in carbs and trying that in fat, but its not working.

I am cutting, I can give nuts up, but need a substitute, another ways will crave them again....any suggestions or solutions.

I love fat now,
Hi J'Bo, I saw your pics you look fabulous.

GOAL REDUCE BODY FAT FROM ABS, & LOOK FIRMER

I have few problems in reaching my goals right now. I have tried all diet, I have lots of discipline, add and remove any food from diet, but need a way of eating which is easy and I have travel while doing it, and can have a lifestyle type of eating pan, rather than a diet.

Carbs bloat me, but when I go on protein and fat, than after few days, my energy is down, and training suffers. I hate carb-ups.

I am very active, I bike everywhere, job is active.

J'Bo, what would you suggest for me in ratios
I am 5 feet 2.5 inche, no matter how much i diet or exercise, I am not losing fat from my abs.

How much fat can I get away with in a day, I am eating 1200cals right now, also, should I count calories by food (example one apple 100 or by grams)????

Loads of questions, but will love your feedback...THANKS

Well carb ups are neccessar especially if your BF is low Do 3 sessions of hit per week if not for. while 4. Carb up at least once a week. You may try cutting out some fat. That may help.

I would change the ratio as well. 40 40 20. I know carbs bloat you but you need them.

Yup, your system will get accustomed to it. Another reason you may be bloating is because you are not eating enough fiber. Shoot for 30 Grams at least. By the way those 40 percent carbs should come from whole food. Slow burning complex carbs. No sugar! Of course it's a plague. I assume you know that. Drink a hell of a lot of water so everything will digest right.

Another thing to avoid Bloating is to cycle your carbs. Start at 100 grams one day and work your way up by Sunday (Carbing Up). I assume your know that your body needs at least 2 times your bodyweight on a normal diet. As you carb up decrease fats. But you have to make sure everything fit within your deficit. Except on carb up day of course. That would be when you eat normal.

Hi QOS! How you been.

Lets start out with, how much do you weigh?

I know you don't like carbs - you never have. I get all crappy and bloated too but I have found that the refeed every few days works nicely and a lot less bloat. You do need carbs to train and I know you already know that.

Thanks u all,
I weigh 113lbs, I love carbs, but apart of bloating, I get gasy after eating them, thats why I try not to have too much of them and when I do, I experiance the same again.

But without them cant train, complex carbs make me feel worse, its a no win sitaution.

I understand that. I bloat also but hey what can I do? It being tired all the time or feeling energetic. I'd rather be energetic. Just keep it coming in your system it may stop. Make sure also that you have any type of bread (wheat) in the morning if you are including them in your diet. Do not eat them after 4 as well.

if your bloating alot from the veggies but still want to eat them...consume more omega 3 and 6 fatty acids as well a GLA (omega 9)....it will help with digestion and protein synthesis.

I use to be carb-phobic too but have since gotten much more reasonable about it and am currently on a 40/40/20 regime. I do sometimes suddenly gain 3-5 lbs of water weight mysteriously but I think this is from creatine cycling and I know it’s only temporary soI am not alarmed. But I have convinced myself that without carbs you just will not be able to grow new tissue properly since the body will be trying to use higher portions of protein and/or fat as fuel and go into more of a sustainment or lean tissue dump mode. I also agree that EFA is very very important and I now supplement it deliberately in almost every meal (6 per day). Unfortunately, since shedding my prior fat-phobic mentality and getting reacquainted with good EFA’s I now got to be careful. I find myself gobbling a fist full of toasted sunflower seeds now when I walk into the kitchen and see them on the counter. I had to hide them and not leave them on the counter since they became my new potato chip habit.

Thanks Oceandude for your feedback.
I am going to cycle my carbs, but without fat in every meal, I get gas and became bloated, different body type I guess.

So I am keeping non-training Sat/Sun/WedC20 P128-150 F50-55
Training Days Mon/Tues/Thu C50 P150 F40
One training day Fri high carb C80 P120 F40
Every 10 day a cheat meal

What do you think???

Hey J,bo
nuts/oil/peanut butter or any fat NEVER BLOATS ME, and works great.

I meant, if i eat more than C30g carb in one sitting or 80g in two days, i get bloated and sick, right now i can only handle max 80g carbs 25-28g per meal on high days
and C30-50 avearage per day, sad carbs are not my friend anymore, but fat is
