Newbie Diet and stuff

Hi all...... I have been told to post my diet in here.....

If you haven't read my other posts........ I am a newbie at bodybuilding.

I am currently 5'8" approx 165-170 lbs......
Male.....Very active at golf, basketball, and general fun things.
I think my Body fat is around 20%.....Ouch....
I am looking to gain mass, muscle, etc..etc. But not too big..
My goals are bench pressing over 200 by Christmas..
165 now ....1 Rep Max

And just all around cuttness...

I think the most important part of my body I wan to work on is.....
EVERYTHING..... Please see my post on my workout and offer any tips you can...... Also....the supplement is driving me crazy.....
Cell-Tech......Creatine....Glutamine...ZMA....HMB....ah hhhhhhhhhh

By the general population of the group I get the idea that CellTech is unliked.....Which I do not understand why all those guys in M&F drink it all day while posing for their pictures....

Any way here is my diet and plan...

5:30am Workout
7:00am Creatine 10 grams Cell-Tech -- Hydroxycut
7:30am Cereal, Bagel, Fruit....
8:00am HMB, BCAA, Glutamine, Antioxidant.... Twinlab brands
10:00am Nitrotech--Two scoops, Yogurt

12:00pm HMB, BCAA, Hydroxycut, Antioxidant.... Twinlab brands
12:00pm Chicken Breast or Tuna, Mixed Veggies or Baked Potato
2:00pm Detour Bar, or Nitro-Tech -- Two scoops..... I stopped taking the Detour bars.....I bought a box and had to finish.....

4:00pm Yogurt, and Protein something......Whichever I did not have earlier

6:00pm Workout.......Abs every other day.....or Run for 10 min
This is only every other day.....This workout is only abs or running.... Nothing major....I am not ready for a split yet

6:30-7pm Dinner
This one is hard ....excuses could pour out here.....Not enough time......We have to feed my son....blah...blah.....But I try and keep it somewhat healthy.......

9:00pm Protein shake....

10:00 pm ZMA -- Twinlab

Do keep taking my supplements on the weekends?
I have always taken my Multivitamin everyday and my Glutamine too...

Ok......Sheewwwww..I think I am done.....

I am posting a couple of pics of my home gym also....I just need a couple more things

Thanx for any comments or suggestions you guys and gals can give.... Hopefully I can start posting some pics of myself soon....As soon as the flab starts to go away.....Big Smile....

See ya

Eric

Hiya Eric....

welcome to IM!

okay well diet, I'm not quite sure what you want to do with it? Gain, loss? maintain? I get the feeling you want to do all three so let's just talk about nutrition in general.

It looks like you eat 4 times a day. You need to eat every 3 hours or so and you need 6 meals a day or you won't grow or loss.

Your food...I can't do much with that. I need amounts and macros breakdown. Read the "Newbie Start Here" sticky. Just from looking at it your diet coiuld use some work. But it really depends on your goals. If you want to cut than we gotta change alot of stuff! If you want to bulk we could kindof work with what you have...

I can tell you right off the bat that on a cutting plan:

bagel
ceral
milk
detour bars
baked potato
yogurt

Read up and research some of the posts than most your meal breakdowns and nutrition goals and we'll take it from there!

"To be a cyclist is to be a student of pain....at cycling's core lies pain, hard and bitter as the pit inside a juicy peach. It doesn't matter if you're sprinting for an Olympic medal, a town sign, a trailhead, or the rest stop with the homemade brownies. If you never confront pain, you're missing the essence of the sport. Without pain, there's no adversity. Without adversity, no challenge. Without challenge, no improvement. No improvement, no sense of accomplishment and no deep-down joy. Might as well be playing Tiddly-Winks."

Ditch the supplements and eat proper foods. Read the stickies, that is what they are there for.

I am confused...I thought the way to go was to add supplements.....Don't they help some people? Now that I know what foods to eat...Do I still need any supps?

Thanx

Eric

Get your diet in order and try it for a few weeks before adding supplements. They are just that, to Supplement the foods we eat.
