Always eat before your workout. This is because when you wake up in the morning your body is waking up from a fast which comes froma an average 7 hours sleep. When you workout without eating you are more prone to catobolism. Eat and work out 1 hour to 2 hours later. Take the creatine prior or after your workout.

well it is good to take with a protien shake after your workout but some people may do it vice versa. Or split it. Half a shake before, half a shake after. See how that works. I say this because the creatine will help you during your workouts to lift better.
