Its all in the diet. Start weight training and eating smart, not necessarily less. Go to the diet forum and post your diet meal by meal and they will help figure out what needs to change. Don't worry about what britney spears looks like either, you won't look like her b/c you don't have her genetics, worry about looking like you.

Starving yourself and overtraining is not the way to go, why don't you post your current diet and we can start from there.

To be honest, BS doesn't do a thing for me. My advise is to get to a point where you're happy with yourself. Don't try to be like someone else.

You sound very similar to my wife who is 5’ 8” 125 lbs.
My advice is to get out of the scale weight fixation and build up a little more muscle since its 18% less dense than is fat and it will actually help automatically burn more fat for you (up to 50 cals extra per day per lb) automatically everyday since its active tissue. What you want to focus on is body fat (bf) percent. So your scale weight will be whatever it needs to be for a desired fat percentage. I think most “fit” women try to get to about 15% bf which can be sustained without extreme dieting if you are active. You can get below this percent for short periods of time for special events and photo shoots etc. but it’s not as good for women to go long below this level since it can interfere with female reproductive cycles and so on. Maybe one of the lady pros here can chime in about this.

You will be amazed though how pretty muscle looks on a woman with low body fat. You will get more definition and eye catching and very photogenic curves in the arms and shoulder and legs etc.

Of course you can just make sure you are eating a reasonable diet (with only a few hundred calories deficit over basic energy needs) and just increase fat burning activities. Walking is a great way to get in some extra caloric burn. Walk in the morning for 30 minutes before breakfast and 30 minutes at dinner time. These little things all add up over a few months and you will lose a few lbs of fat (or replace it with muscle if working out in gym). Before you know it you will be having to buy new cloths since the old ones will be too baggy. Good Luck.

It doesn't matter if you're sprinting for an Olympic medal, a town sign, a trailhead, or the rest stop with the homemade brownies. If you never confront pain, you're missing the essence of the sport. Without pain, there's no adversity. Without adversity, no challenge. Without challenge, no improvement. No improvement, no sense of accomplishment and no deep-down joy. Might as well be playing Tiddly-Winks."
