When eating potatos or yams, do you eat the skin or not?

Anyone care to explain why or why not?

I eat the sweet potato skins. They are full of fiber and I'm pretty sure even more so than the potato itself.

The skin of a potatoe is loaded in vitamins. They are actually more benificial then the potato itself. The answer is yes I do eat them.

Vieope, the pecticides are indeed bad for you but like any vegatable you should wash them prior to cooking or eating raw as in carrots, apples, cellery etc. WASH THEM ALL VERY GOOD.

Well I know you were talking about potato skin which I do eat and usually make mash potatos with some skin it they are red potatoes.
However when I read the title of the thread I though you were talking about human skin. Usually it is off my hand, I am not cutting myself up or anything but doing deadlifts and other things with barbells and dumbbells give me dime and penny sized calluses that start to hang off my hand and if I am bored and my hands arent dirty I will chew on them. It isnt as bad as most think.

I know, for a moment I thought this post was refering to human skin... I would've answered, "yes" but only when I am nervous. But, it's not like I would eat it like a full course meal or anything!

Satan, how would I have known you'd respond like that?

I have to agree with the masses.... eat the skin of a potato!!! NUTRIENTS AND VITAMINS all the way!!
