You will find people who have gotten good results from it however you have to ask them a. are they still on it? b. what happened when they went off it?
Does anyone have first hand experience on the % of bodyfat they have lost with this diet? The reason for the question is the ongoing debate that the majority of weight lost is water. Thanks for your replies.
BTW... I did use the Search function but found no threads that directly addressed my question.

good luck with that if you're lifting
i pondered going on it too but once i realized how imperative carbohydrates are for energy i said fuck it
even now if i don't get enough carbohydrates in a day i notice myself feeling weaker at the gym
you don't need to cut your carbs to lose body fat... just eat the right kinds!

Atkins Diet is not a diet that you can maintain
People I know on the diet lost weight (not sure how much fat), but put the weight back on plus right after they stopped the diet. I don't recommend it. Look into Carb cycling, that looks like it's getting great results from people in this forum.
Thank you for your responses!
Do akins diet for 14 days then after wards at a carb up meal every 5 th day for 2 week then add a carb up meal every 3 and 4 th day
If you really want a keto based diet then I would suggest a CKD or TKD but not Atkins![]()

My niece and her hubby went on Adkins. They lost weight but are now gaining it back. Also they kept getting colds. I myself would never do it.
